I was a founding member of the Atlanta-based band Third Day where I was lovingly referred to as “the business guy.” There, I led all of the band’s business initiatives since its inception. Additionally, I designed the merchandise, live stage production, ticketing models, marketing plans and online platforms. From its humble beginnings, the band grew into a worldwide entertainment brand with raving, passionate fans.
Despite operating in an industry with declining year-to-year revenues, I built sustained growth for Third Day by focusing on building “fans for life.” Subsequently, the band saw consistent growth despite declining album sales throughout the industry. Along the way, I developed a passion for marketing and working with creatives.
I blog regularly on LinkedIn and taispeak.com, where I translate my fan-building experience from music to the larger business world. I am a regular speaker at business, civic, and religious events. I am also a regular guest lecturer for Kennesaw State University’s Music and Entertainment Business program.
Following my time in Third Day, I worked for Syrup, helping brands find sweet clarity and sticky marketing solutions. Additionally, I worked as the Director of Partner Development for Leadercast, helping build leaders worth following.
I am currently the Marketing Director for Supreme Lending Southeast, where I help customers realize the American Dream of home ownership. Read below to learn more about my personal mission, my style of work, and some places where I’ve had the opportunity to serve.
